What if confidence didn’t require performance?
Too often, Black women are expected to lead by being more — more polished, more prepared, more accommodating. But what if leadership looked like being more yourself?
In this powerful NBWL Elevate Session, renowned coach and speaker Mars Lord invites us to explore what it means to lead with quiet confidence. The kind that isn’t performative or perfection-driven, but grounded in self-trust, truth, and personal freedom.
This session is for Black women tired of shrinking, overworking, people-pleasing, or striving for someone else’s version of success. Together, we’ll unpack how to:
- Let go of perfectionism and the need to “prove” yourself.
- Reclaim your voice and self-worth from people-pleasing.
- Embody confidence that is truthful, not performative.
- Show up in your work and leadership as your full, rooted self.
With honesty, humour, and deep insight, Mars will guide us through personal reflection and practical strategies to shift from performance mode to personal power. Following 45 minutes of content, there will be a 45-minute interactive discussion where attendees can ask questions, share insights, and reflect on their leadership journey.
What To Expect:
- Insightful talk on confidence, truth, and liberation in leadership.
- Practical tools to unlearn perfectionism and people-pleasing.
- A nurturing space to explore who you are beyond performance.
- Sessions are not recorded, so attend live to be part of the conversation.
