As a Public Health practitioner, there are a range of formal and informal educational pathways you can take to progress your career in public health. Some routes may have eligibility criteria.
There is a variety of learning and development opportunities available that will enable you to enhance your skills and knowledge. They may be delivered virtually or face-to-face.
Public health apprenticeships provide a new entry or development route across the public health system. In common with many practitioner roles, the title of the apprenticeship may differ depending on the specific focus of the role. Experience will be gained within the workplace over the 1 - 5 year apprenticeship period (depending on which type of apprenticeship). Apprenticeships are an option for anyone over 16 and are available from intermediate level 2 to degree level 7.
