Leadership Programme

How can leadership help us create the conditions for Fairer Health for All?

Let’s just spend a moment exploring what we mean by leadership.

Leadership is for us the everyday things that people do that one by one make a difference. This is what we do, say, feel, think, and inspire. We see leadership as something for everyone. Something for the many not the few. It is not about a position or being a leader, it’s about leadership, behaviours and mindset.

How are we developing leadership for Fairer Health for All?

System Scoping

Since March 2023 we have been working to understand the existing leadership programmes across GM and how they support Fairer Health for All. This has involved talking to numerous system partners across GM to understand:

  • current leadership offers.
  • future plans
  • impact
  • opportunities to connect and collaborate

Insight Gathering

From this insight gathering, we know:

  • that we already have lots of brilliant leadership programmes
  • we need to support and influence the existing offers
  • we need to create meaningful spaces for people to explore leadership
  • we need to join the dots and make the links to have greater impact
  • enabling the leadership that is happening in communities everyday will support Fairer Health for All

Inclusive Spaces

In Autumn we are creating a number of inclusive spaces that allow for lived experience to be heard across systems and communities.  The co-design process will model the principles of  Fairer Health for All and ensure that we hear the voices of the many and hear the greatest insights from the spaces and people that are seldom heard.
